Traveling Theatre

THE RIDE is a 75 minute experience where you see The Big Apple with no planned entertainment. Everything is improvisation. All seats provide excellent views. Their are 2 host who explain what will occur, games—so bring your New York City knowledge, & of course karaoke 🎀

The bus travels around midtown seeing peeps being their interesting selves. When the bus driver spots people singing, dancing πŸ•ΊπŸ» or playing an instrument he will stop bus & provide music & prompts. It is hilarious cause everyone think they are talented & awaiting discovery plus their 15 minutes of fame. I saw a busker with a guitar 🎸. Driver microphoned his performance, a gal walked by & joined in . On Madison Ave witnessed a UPS woman dancing & driver asked if she wanted to perform & put on music she wanted. She had terrific moves. All the while the hosts are telling us about Landmarks

When bus was stopped in Times Square, I raised my middle finger. It was hilarious, peeps returned the message 😹😹😹Mostly tourists on bus. The couple behind me said when the outside person gave the finger ” Jeez, that is so New York “!I believe this enhanced the London folks adventure Hee Hee the tourists did not know I gave finger first. πŸ˜ΉπŸ˜ΉπŸ˜ΉπŸ˜ΉπŸ˜ΉπŸ’°

I really enjoyed this experience & had fun. It is a must do. To save money πŸ’° get your tickets from Groupon & save big bucks

THE GREAT GATSBY

This grand musical about Gatsby’s long term love of Daisy Buchanan. Daisy is now married to a rich , spoiled philander who abuses her. This is during the 1920’s Jazz era & a big spectacle show with great performances by Ryan McCarten, Sarah Hyland. The entire cast is superb. The 🎢 music 🎢 is a masterpiece as are the costumes. If you enjoy big, bold musicals you will love it. I found the staging bland, compared to costumes. There. was no Wow factor in staging. There is romance & chilling events. I felt the story needed to be tighter; it was flimsy at times. Overall, did enjoy it even with my negative comments. Also could have been shorter.

Unfortunately, the day I was there half the mezzanine was empty. If your interested in seeing a bold musical with incredible costumes & music go && enjoy yourself

Had lunch at Angelo’s at 1697 Broadway , between 53d & 54th Street. Excellent pizza πŸ• plus Italian food.

A New Musical

A new show brings excitement especially when it is clever and unique. The show takes place in the Helperbot Yards outside of Seoul, Korea. Darren Criss(Oliver) & Helen J Shen who is making Broadway debut (Claire) are retired& outdated robots who have been living in a retirement village for 13years as their batteries are weakening. Claire’s battery needs a charge & she knocks on Oliver’s door for help. This show with its awesome & magnificent staging deal with loneliness & love. The show is interesting, emotional & funny. This clever show & impressive staging is so memorable. It is memorable because of its interesting story & musical 🎢 lyrics. It is very different from regular musicals yet so very entertaining & enjoyable—you want it not to end.

If want to experience the excitement of a new , unique & enjoyable musical this is a must seeπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Dysfunctional Family Drama

The Dahl family is getting set for their annual Christmas Eve dinner. It is 9pm, snowing, family is singing & playing instruments while they await Johnny. There is a hardy mix of screwed up kids & spouses. Hilarity is often mixed with heartbreaking moments. Ginny, played by Mare Winningham , keeps all the secrets & pretends all is normal. The kids & spouse become outspoken the more they drink. Beautifully presented, staged well with outdoor snow & Happiness indoors. 100 minutes of humor & teariness

This is a must see show for the story & real slice of life that is absorbing & thought provoking. I really enjoyed it. Hurry & get tickets cause it closes February 2nd

We had lunch at Beer Culture on W. 45th Street, next to Moulin Rouge. Moderate priced, delicious food & of course great 🍺 We had Equilibrium Tomorrow; it was a tad fruity & crisp—long finish. Place has fun vibe & interesting crowd. Check website for opening times. My favorite choice for after theater to discuss beer, beer, the show & life. Try it, you will love it. Easy place to go solo 🍻🍺🍻🍺🍻

Louis Armstrong

This show should be a sell out. Unfortunately, the day I went, Thursday matinee, it was quite empty. We were able to move to excellent seats

James Monroe Iglehart gives a strong performance. The cast & ensemble are excellent especially the tap dancers. Music 🎢 is just wonderful. The is dull cause it all about his wives in each city. I wish it would have gone deeper into his life struggles. Because the story lacked substance it was too long because of its repetitiveness in each city. Lightly touched on racism, mafia & not being valued

If interested in seeing this show go soon. There is lots to enjoy if not interested in a deeper look into his life

Want to go back to the provocative, grungy, sex dens, peep shows & 80’s vibe? This bar is the place . It is next to the Mean Fiddler & underneath. Make sure you have the password or no entrance for you. Here’s a tip: password located on Website or maybe someone from Mean Fiddler will whisper it to you. Opens at 5pm

Enter and walk down a staircase with purple lights & graffiti walls. Take your time & read what’s there. At the entrance through a curtain enter a sex shop where a friendly gal gives you a story prior to entering bar. It builds up to the excitement!

The barmaids are scantily clad & gladly introducing their sexy cocktails. The names will take you back. I had a Qualude, oh the memories of those days. Another drink I had was served in a sexy glass with woman titties. We didn’t eat but menu looked appetizing.

The trip to the bathroom was filled with surprises. There is an old time photo both, disco ball& great 80’s music. Drinks pack a wallop

EXCEPTIONALLY 🎭🎢

I had a magical, fun, emotional & Fucking Wow. evening witnessing the best show I have ever seen on Broadway. Yes, it’s SUNSET BLVD πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘. The entire audience was into this magnificent, exciting, entertaining, emotional show filled with mind-blowing surprises. I saw an outstanding & powerful performance by MANDY GONZALEZ as Norma Desmond. Mandy is scintillating & super chemistry with u/s Diego Andres Rodriguez who plays Joe Lewis . Excellent, Excellent!! All with the beautiful music of Andrew Lloyd Weberβ€”-🎢🎢. The ensemble is terrific with kool choreography. Every person involved in this show deserves a standing ovation. Unforgettable show. It must be seen

Do not sit in orchestra cause you’ll get a crick in neck. I sat in Upper Mezzanine, row R, right side. Excellent seat & view. Thanks Today Tix

Kit Kat Club

The Kit Kat Club was a nightclub in NYC that was named after the Berlin nightclub. I was so excited to see Adam Lambert, my heartthrob, and he was stupendous.

The pre-theatre experience is wild. Walking down an ornate corridor into decadent rooms with wild exotic dancers on an intimate stage. As you enter, a peppermint shot of schnapps is handed to you. Music is blaring, fountains of champagne 🍾, scantily clad drink makers. There is no dress code. Peeps were dressed just like Berliners pre WWI

It is best to get there an hour before to enjoy the Vault Bar, Green Bar & Red Bar located in lobby.

The Director, Rebecca Frecknall, deserves a Tony.

The show & pre-show is surreal. Where am I?

You will have an exotic, scintillating & electrifying time.

Adam Lambert came out after show to greet/sign autographs for his fans. We were across the street. Security was intense

We had great seats so we could see Adam close up–the whites of his eyes πŸ‘€. It was worth every penny πŸ’΅πŸ’΅πŸ’΅if you are an American Idol/Adam Lambert fan you must see this titillating show.

Are you in a band? Do you want to start a band? Want to cut an album? If you are interested in doing these, then this is the show for you.

The music 🎢 is terrific. The show is 3+hours. I did not find the show particularly interesting. The actors were talented . Stereophonic won 5 Tony’s, including Best Play…..why?

Stereophonic is loosely based on FleetwoodMac making the “Rumors” album which had fiery drama. My 2 friends thought the same.

Final Performance December 15

The NOTEBOOK is a beautiful & heartfelt musical inspired by the book πŸ“• & movie. A wonderful love story that is heart wrenching. The story begins as kids playing together & despite forces that attempt to keep them apart they succeed in marrying.

The talented cast was terrific. Music by Ingrid Michaelson. The staging was clever especially the rain scenes. The characters gave poignant performances. While an interesting story, I found it incredibly sad & tearful. Great direction An emotional journey.

The audience was mostly women & young girls Not surprised closing early I am glad I saw it. Heartbroken feelings from being a care giver to my Mum throughout her Alzheimer’s journey . If want to see a true love story with surprises that are different from book/movie get tickets now!
