Fotografiska

This is an interesting & contemporary museum of photography located at Park Ave South & 23rd Street. We took the Lexington Ave bus . I have switched to taking the bus because of the heinous subway crimes plus I feel like a vacationer taking in all the sites. The museum gives Seniors discount & early arrival so paid just $10.00

The venue is 6 floor but with a crazy system. Take the gorgeous flowered elevator to 5th floor & then walk to 6th & work your way down. The exhibition we saw the Futuristic Ancestry. It was kool with blobs of colorful visions & movies. One show sounded like a powerful orgasm. The room I felt relaxed in was a floor that depicted a lake with fish, mold on rocks & visions on the wall. Your became lost & serene because you are “encountering yourself in nature

The other part of the exhibit was all about rock. Pictures of David Bowie plus photos of many stars. This was fascinating and we delighted in naming them .

Fotografiska is a branch of the Swedish Photography Museum . While it is small there is a lot to offer: the Chapel bar next to gift shop with interesting gifts, a snowball that say FU 😹😹😹, workstations & lite foods, We enjoyed our visit & the exhibition

The bathrooms are state of the art The hand dryer is part of the faucet. Very clever. Of course took us awhile to figure it out. Make sure to visit 🚰🚰

We did not eat at museum but walked East on 23rd & found an Irish ☘️ Bar, the globe with a lunch special: hamburger with everything including fries 🍟 & mug of beer 🍺 The food was delicious & filled our bellies. After lunch I order a pint 🍺 & she a coffee. The bartender tells her “this is a bar, we don’t serve coffee but you can get it at the delie Nextdoor. We laughed so hard because he was serious. Only in New York kids, only one in New York😹😹😹😹

I was so excited to see the show, I pranced in singing 🎢 I’m at Spamalot . My jubilation was contagious. The staff displayed big smiles & engaged with me. They also loved my sweater & pretzel earrings. They enhanced my excitement!

The peeps sitting in front of me were from Wildwood & Eagles fans. At intermission, the gal arose & her Fruit of the Loom undies peeked out. Only in New York kids could one begin to bond over showing your undies. lol. We had a ton of laughs & they trusted me to watch their belongings while they were to buy swag

Mini Donuts 🍩

There are a number of lthese bars In Manhattan, I went to the Midtown site. Ideally located for a pre-theater drink if go to Studio 54 theatre. Serving food begins at 3pm. Moderately priced. Food is delicious! I had Mac & Cheese and it warmed me up

Their specialty is homemade Mini Donuts. There was Grisly Pear, apple pie, Oreo cookie, maple bacon, fruity pebbles & cinnamon sugar. Our waitress suggested Cinnamon sugar which was so delicious. The minis come 6 together. We all smacked our lips they were so tasty πŸ˜‹

Waitstaff friendly & helpful. Cozy bar with interesting pictures on the walls. At nite an open Mike plus standup comedy shows. s

Brandy Alexander

Adapted from the 1962 film this play sizzles with emotional electricity. Kelli O’Hara & Brian D’Arcy James give a riveting performance. Joe introduces Kirsten to her very first drink, a Brandy Alexander. This delicious drink was the catalyst for their lives to spiral out of control. While a story of alcoholism is sad their magnificent performances create a splendid show. The band is on stage. The creative staging enhances seamless scenes. Their singing & dancing are uplifting. The choreography is terrific. The entire cast presents a show not to be missed. It has been extended to July 16th.

The book is well written & synopsized into 90 minutes of profound theatre. Their performances are magnificent.
