Jaws πŸ‹πŸ‹πŸ‹

Sitting on the Orca off Martha’s Vineyard, they wait while Bruce-the mechanical shark is repaired . Bruce was given the moniker by the Jaws film crew.

Richard Dreyfus, Roy Scheider & Robert Shaw while away their boredom in the middle of the ocean. Heavy drinking, their lives & what possessed them to do this movie. It is listed as a comedy & there are laughs but really it is a mish-mash.

The staging is true to life & Spectacular. Alex Brightman is Richard Dreyfus & so real you thought it was RD. His role is worth the ticket. Here is acting at it’s greatest. Tony worthy.

I was disappointed that only a fin of the shark was seen.

Sat in upper mezzanine. No need for orchestra seats. They ran out of magnets- have never experienced this ever. That is not a good sign!!!!

Had lunch at Smith’s Bar & Grill, 8th & 44th. My favorite spot for good food & drinks. Moderately priced, friendly servers. Sean, manager, will get you to the show on time. Stop in & tell him : his girlfriend sent you

I Love Ike β™₯️

This Off Broadway Show has been extended a week; that is how excellent it is. First pic is me with the Director, Peter Ellenstein ; with hat is Joe Fedor an actor. The second picture includes John Rubenstein-Star of show. Woman in blue is Teri Ralston who was in the first Broadway show of Company as Jenny, April 11, 1993;currently she teaches at American Musical and Dramatic Academy plus she is also a Director. This is why I love going to Off Broadway shows because you get to meet so many interesting people. 🎭🎭🎭

Picture this August 1962, the EisenhowerFarm, Gettysburg, PA & Ike is recording his memoirs for a book. Let me give you the name of this spectacular show:Eisenhower: This Piece of Ground!

John Rubinstein doesn’t impersonate Ike but embodies his spirit. Eisenhower looks back on his life noting his accomplishments & misses. Chats about his boyhood years, how he made it to West Point. I felt like I was in his living room. John is affable like Ike as he discusses the War & his presidency. John is captivating & gives a memorable performance. Staging, scenery & lighting give the perfect ambiance

The biography of DDE is fascinating & enjoyable. I urge you to run & get tickets for this riveting show. Let me know what you thought of the show afterwards.

The last time I was at Theatre at St. Clements seeing Green Card, 2016, there was a makeshift bar beneath the stairway. It consisted of a large barrel of ice with beer & wine. Alas that is gone. I shared this tidbit with the Director & pointed out the Stairwell Bar🍺🍷& water.

The venue is unique, an “Episcopal Church celebrating the ministry of women, of gay & lesbian people from all walks of life especially theatre community. The 3rd oldest operating Off Broadway Theatre.”

Irish ☘️ Repertory Theatre

The Saviour takes place in a small house on the outskirts of Carlow town in 2020. A riveting & provocative show that will have you gasping & snickering. A widow meets Martin at the church and develops a comfortable relationship with him staying the evening frequently. Mel, her son, visits on her birthday to discuss Martin & his past. Maire becomes upset & now all the past horrors come to light. Amidst the madness there is hilarity.

Many emotions are felt during her monologue & Mel‘s visit. The abuses during his childhood, her fanatical Catholicism & mental episodes. As you gasp in shock, you become giddy also. Only an Irish playwright can add laughter to tame tough subjects as homosexuality & pedophilia. The 70 minute show is captivating & endearing . The cast is brilliant & engaging .

I recommend the show because it deals well with hard topics plus there is hilarity

The Irish Rep suggested the Copper Still for a brewski. This bar was friendly with cheap appetizers & cold 🍻 beers. When I told the bartender that the Irish Rep told us to come here—-he said we would get a 10% discount

Picture an English Cottage in 1923 which is used by family for trysts by 2 brothers. A telegram is sent to her husband after sexy nite with brother-in-law; then the hilarious mayhem begins. A delightful story that is sexy, clever & hilarious

We had a lunch at Junior’s. I had a refreshing glass of wine & Junior’s special Strawberry shortcake with strawberry syrup. This cake was at least 6inches high. It was the best ever. I always order Junior’s desserts cause that’s what they are famous forπŸ“

Tiger Tiger Burning Bright

A boy and his tiger πŸ… on a boat for 265 days surviving at sea with limited survival skills . With spectacular design , lightning & staging it was easy to enter the story. The life size puppets/puppeteers led the story with excitement and took you along on the journey.

Pi and his family were traveling on a cargo ship with their zoo animals to Canada when disaster struck. A fierce storm begins to blow causing death of crew & passengers. Pi swims to a lifeboat that contains the zoo animals. Struggles ensue for survival. Great companionships evolve with dominance. Graphic scenes of survival tactics make you gasp!!!!

This show is imaginative & riveting. The cast is perfection. The show ends July 23rd. It is best to sit In Mezzanine or orchestra– mid & toward back. The staging is big so with close up you miss some scenes.

Rush & get tickets for one of the best shows I have seen in a very long time-show moves quickly although 2hours & 40 minutes

A Must See Show

This is a quirky, edgy & hilarious show. A feel good show with a talented cast with Katey Segal in a fabulous role with a surprise in store for y’all! The audience was enthusiastic & happy. No intermission!Great dancers plus great lyrics. When the show was over I was smiling & feeling happy.

Heather is maybe the new Messiah in High School. The story is clever & uplifting. A great comedic pop musical. Met the director/choreographer, Rachel Klein plus (pic). Jim Kierstead, producer. This is the fun of going to Off Broadway shows whereby you get to meet the folks who make the show; it’s so exciting when this happens.

Every seat in this intimate theater is great. Treat yourself to a feel goood show that will make you happy 😊

We Are Waiting For You

This is a unique show for Broadway at the Lyceum theater. If you enjoy psychological thrillers with a frightening stage, and an amazing cast with some gore this is for you!

A couple crashes their car in a snowstorm & finds this cabin in the woods. This is where the story begins. Fast paced with no intermission. There are many hilarious scenes plus acts that will have you gasping aloud. This is a fun freak-out show that will have you on the edge of your seat . The atrocities of your past life will be brought forth as well as your punishments. This is a musical 🎡. Enjoy all the sensations!!!

Hilarity

This show is a must see for fun time. 5 Tony award nominations . Picture this a South Carolina barbecue with a funny dysfunctional family & friends. They are celebrating a marriage, mourning a hubby, trying to stay in the closet or bust out. While their are many poignant moments, it still is hilarious. Don’t be fooled by it being a Pulitzer Prize πŸ† winner; Fat Ham is comedic & saucy. C’mon on over & have a party

The cup is by far one of the best. The cast is grand , staging is super. I can say “I had one helleva fun time. 90 minutes of non-stop hilarity even though deals with sensitive topics. The finale is a blast πŸ’₯ that gets you up on your feet. Tickets 🎫 inexpensive. Hurry ends June 25th
